Become an ATV Instructor

Becoming a Licensed ATV Instructor

The ATV Instructor Preparation (IP) Courses are 4 days in length, with each day lasting approximately 8 hours. Our sites will provide an ATV for training during the Instructor Course. However, you will need to provide your own riding gear: DOT-compliant helmet with either a face shield or riding goggles, full-fingered gloves, over the ankle boots, long sleeved shirt and long, sturdy pants.

If you are interested in becoming an ATV Safety Institute Instructor for your company/agency or military unit, please download and complete the Application for Licensing and Enrollment form. Once completed submit your completed form to trainingops@svia.org. or by fax to 949.727.4216.

The fee is $1,000 per person, which includes the cost of tuition and course materials.
